Dining out: Peeps milkshake brightens spring at Rosemont's Kings

PDQ now open

PDQ - short for “People Dedicated to Quality” - recently opened its newest location in Schaumburg, the franchise's second store in Illinois. The fast-casual restaurant serves chef-inspired bowls, seasonal sandwiches and sides, plus hand-breaded and grilled chicken tenders, tossed salads, sandwiches and hand-spun milkshakes. New menu items include the Pimento Crunch and Grilled Hawaiian chicken sandwiches, the Thai Peanut and Queso Crunch bowls and Yia Yia's Greek Salad. Think spring

In the mood for a taste of spring? Join Reel Club executive chef James Woodfork for a spring cooking class at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, when he will demonstrate how to make a variety of spring-inspired dishes. Easter Kinderfest

Kids can kick off Easter festivities a week early during Hofbräuhaus' Easter Kinderfest from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25. Activities include egg coloring, a juggler, face painting, magic acts and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Kids meals are $5 during the event.
