Chelsea Clinton to sign new book in La Grange

Chelsea Clinton is set to make at least her third book tour appearance in the suburbs, this time promoting a new children's title called "She Persisted Around the World: 13 Women Who Changed History."

Clinton's latest literary work tells the story of 13 women from across the globe who have made major changes to shape history.

The author is scheduled to visit Anderson's Bookshop La Grange at 7 p.m. Friday, March 9. to sign books for readers who buy advance copies.

Tickets are $22.73 at chelseaclintonandersons.brownpapertickets.com. Each ticket includes one copy of the book and admits up to four people to the signing line at the shop, 26 S. La Grange Road, La Grange. Fans will be able to take candid photos from the signing line as Clinton autographs copies of the new release.

Featured in "She Persisted Around the World" are prominent female activists, writers and leaders, including Marie Curie, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, Viola Desmond, Sissi Lima do Amor, Leymah Gbowee, Caroline Herschel, Wangari Maathai, Aisha Rateb, J.K. Rowling, Kate Sheppard, Yuan Tan, Mary Verghese and Malala Yousafzai.

The book is aimed at young readers and comes as a follow-up to Clinton's earlier book "She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World."

Clinton, the daughter of President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Clinton, also has written "It's Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going!" Promoting that book brought her to the suburbs twice - once in September 2015 to Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville and again last April to The Book Stall in Winnetka.
