Company of Thieves join Walk the Moon tour

2017's reunion between Roselle native Marc Walloch, his Company of Thieves co-founder Genevieve Schatz and Chris Faller, who had become a permanent member on drums, has given a second journey to the Chicago indie rock band. Lately they've been touring nationally and will be making a stop in Chicago as part of indie rock darlings Walk the Moon's (“Anna Sun,” “Shut Up and Dance”) “Press Restart Tour.” Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago. Tickets start at $61. (844) 425-5923 or aragonballroom.com. 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26

What I've been listening to lately:

Adam Curry slows it down and focuses on the soothing beauty of his voice in his recent solo release, “All This Light,” streaming on Spotify, SoundCloud and Bandcamp. You can also see Adam rock with his band Owens Room at Beat Kitchen Friday, Feb. 9.

Dead Harvest - Jonathon Wilson, Gerard Rapp and Drew Garnaut - specializes in layered, groove-driven indie rock on their recently released EP, “Wasted Love.” Check it out (especially the mesmerizing “All Alone By the Water”) on Bandcamp or Spotify before their Elbo Room show Friday, Jan. 26.

Like Language (Kristen Donnelly and Matthew Murray) presented the catchy “Like A Drug” last week, an upbeat pop confection with indie rock roots. Give it a listen on Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music.

Susie Anderson provides the sweet melodies to the energetic brand of hard-rocking alternative by South Elgin's Grain of Sand. Check out the band, rounded out by Chris Truesdell, Manny Guzman and Ray Rodriguez, on their recent release “See If I Care,” streaming now on Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
