Miss the Cubs? Pick up Pearl Jam's new movie

Pearl Jam, the band fronted by one of America's most famous Cubs fans, invokes Ernie Banks with the title of its new concert film, available for home release this weekend.

"Let's Play Two," now on DVD and Blu-ray, features footage from the band's August 2016 performances at Wrigley Field, right in the thick of the Cubs' championship season. Cameras capture the music and the city's baseball excitement from the stage, Addison Street, el platforms and even the roof of Murphy's Bleachers, where the band had an outdoor jam session. Singer Eddie Vedder, an Evanston native, saw the dream expressed in his 2007 song "All The Way" come true just a few months after the concerts, when the Cubs won Game 7 of the World Series over the Cleveland Indians.

The film's soundtrack album, as it were, is already available via physical and digital formats, including a 2-LP vinyl set for you old-school audiophiles. The track list covers material from the band's entire career, including all-time Pearl Jam classics such as "Better Man," "Alive," "Jeremy" and my personal favorite, "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town."
