Jethro Tull announces summer 2018 Ravinia show

Famed progressive rock group Jethro Tull is celebrating a big anniversary - 50 years on stage - with a stop at Ravinia Festival next summer.

Ian Anderson, frontman and flutist for the band, is bringing the worldwide "50 Years of Jethro Tull" tour to the Highland Park venue Monday, Sept. 3, 2018. The show will feature a broad mix of songs, from their earlier experimental works to latter-day commercial hits.

Tickets are $33-$38 for lawn and $65-$80 for pavilion seating. They go on sale to the general public at noon Tuesday, Nov. 21. Ravinia donors get early access to sales: Affiliates at noon Friday, Nov. 17; Friends and Bravo/Encore patrons at noon Monday, Nov. 20.
