• Gail Lukasik, award-winning author of the "Leigh Girard" mystery series, is one of an estimated 40 authors who will be on hand at the second annual AuthorFest, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach. Guests can meet with authors and purchase signed copies of books. Other highlights include a community art project, a scavenger hunt, kids' activities, including children's book readings, live music, food and more.
