Seaside's Jersey Shore summer barbecue

For one night only, Seaside's takes its Jersey Shore flavors to the patio of Shaw's Crab House from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 22. Enjoy all the favorites off the regular menu, like the slow-cooked baby back ribs, Duroc ribs slow-cooked four ways for a smokeless, tender, caramelized style in a homemade barbecue sauce for $15 half-slab or $28 full slab; or Seaside's famous fried chicken, double-battered and seasoned boardwalk-style for $15 or $28. Spears' charity burger challenge

Cheer on five (preregistered) contestants who attempt to beat Spears' 5-pound burger challenge beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 22. The evening includes the challenge, raffles, prizes, and live music by Jimmy Nicks and Don't Tell Mama. All proceeds go to support the Wounded Warrior project. The Riot Feast

Join the carnival at The Riot Feast, a limited-time restaurant and bar with Riot Fest-inspired family-style American food. The menu includes clever music-meets-carnival-themed food like cornbread with butter served in the shape of John Stamos; sausage corn dogs; chicken on a funnel cake; cotton candy; hot fudge sundaes; fried Oreos; and shaved ice with a Maker's Mark twist. Seatings take place at 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, with a late-night carnival speak-easy at 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Open through Oct. 2.
