What food scares Food Network star Jeff Mauro?

Celebrity chef and River Forest resident Jeff Mauro, co-star of Food Network's "The Kitchen," loves food. But there is one type of food he doesn't like.
"I'm afraid of cottage cheese. I don't know what the heck it is. I'm such a fan of all types of cheese ... but man, something about that, I don't know. It's like a scary movie to me. I can't."
On the flip side, one of his favorite foods - on the menu at his Chicago restaurant chain, Pork & Mindy's - is the house-cured, hand cut pastrami on the Pastramindy sandwich.
"It takes three weeks to make," he said. "It's so succulent and perfectly smokey. It's served on a custom marbleized bun with mustard sauce and two spicy pickles. A lot of work goes into every element of that sandwich."
