Welcome to our village

If you have traveled south down Route 25 toward Butterfield Road the last few days, you have been greeted with a disgusting sight. The brush along the road on the river side of the street has been butchered as if a 6-year-old had taken a weed whacker on steroids and destroyed the plant life growing there.

I understand that the foliage needs to be trimmed back every year so it doesn't grow too close to the roadway, but whoever did this really mangled the job. It looks as if a freight train had driven through the growth and torn it all to pieces, and the tracks are on the other side of this brush.

What a nice way to welcome people entering our village as they drive down this major thoroughfare along the Fox.
