For some, abortion is never safe

In the March 21 Daily Herald, Cathy J. Truesdale wrote that she wishes everyone could understand that you can be pro-choice AND anti-abortion. The point is ,she abhors abortion and at the same time supports those who choose differently; everyone has a right to safe, affordable medical care.

When she says "safe," does she mean abortion? If the medical care was not safe for patients of all ages, from the unborn to the elderly, it would be medical malpractice. Yet that choice is not given to the unborn babies in the wombs of their mothers to live.

I agree with her that everyone has the right to affordable medical care, When then-state Sen. Barack Obama voted against a law that extended protections for children who survived the horrific agony and suffering of going through an abortion and were born alive, does she feel those babies had a right to safe medical care? Or should the abortionists have made the choice for the mothers and leave the babies dead on the table? It is a moral issue for everyone.

Adolf Hitler killed 11 million innocent people during the Holocaust in World War II. Abortion kills 42 million unborn babies a year. Hitler felt he had a "right to choose," as does anybody else trying to justify murder as a solution to problems.
