Not 'collateral damage'

A recent letter to the editor thinks the NRA is OK with the shooting of innocent and unarmed people. That it is just "collateral damage." That is silly. The NRA has always promoted the safe, legal and responsible use of guns. Are deaths from drunken driving merely "collateral damage" to the alcohol industry? Are deaths from misuse of legal drugs just "collateral damage" to the drug industry?
