Chronic acrimony is running White House

Since a little over a year ago, every decision made in the White House seems to stem from long stewing grudges, battles between rich and poor and a person in charge who is incapable of reading a daily briefing longer than three pages without losing interest. And while I appreciate brevity, America requires more attention than a cup of coffee and a swift kick.

We are in the midst of a disturbing trend of chronic acrimony that doesn't appear to have a happy ending. The person running our country has a beef with everyone except the butler in charge of picking up fast food. Granted, he does have vast power that should eventually be constitutionally curtailed; however, as of right now, this person could silence our breath in the blink of an eye.

My mother used to say you take care of what you need to during the day and you sleep well at night. Nights must be a painful reminder what transpired during the days in this administration.

We need to wake up and realize the third of our populace who support the bullying tactics toward everything and everyone who gives this person displeasure is not indicative of this country's pride and the two-thirds who want a peaceful life and a stable person leading the way.

Hopefully one day we will be allowed to get through our day without such distractions as a pornstar scandal, help wanted signs at the White House front gate, watered-down versions of gun laws, the imminent instability of trade wars, a criminal investigation that virtually amounts to treason and last but not least, the inconceivable thought of nuclear disaster for all Americans.
