Starting too high

While I also agree Chris Kennedy could have a potentially successful career in politics, I do not believe he will succeed if his first elected position is governor.

I completely understand that Kennedy's prior experience working on multiple campaigns qualifies him to run his own campaign, and I recognize wholly that he is doing just that amazingly. But I am not convinced that he has the experience to actually carry out the necessary tasks required by governors for two reasons.

One, many of the tasks he is used to are narrow compared to those of a governor. Consider his nonprofit, Top Box Foods. They are very specialized. I believe, by serving in a lower position, he can better acquire the broad skills needed for governor.

Two, impressions are everything in politics. You (at the Daily Herald) said it yourself, he is an introvert in an extrovert's profession. While I wish our political system weren't like that, it is. And until there are meaningful changes, more than just a change in governor, an introvert cannot garner support in an extrovert's profession.
