Fourth branch

Nowhere in the Constitution are guns or rifles even mentioned, so it is appalling to see the president and most members of Congress fawn before the NRA. It has be become so bad that the Congress is terrified of enacting even minor gun control legislation without approval from the NRA.

Perhaps if members of Congress and the president read Section 8, Article 1 of the Constitution, they would realize that they have the power and responsibility of deciding how the militia, all able bodied citizens, should be armed.

For over 200 years, we have had three branches of government, but now it appears that a fourth branch has been added - the NRA
