Don't believe candidate's negative campaign
I received ridiculous mailers from Charlotte "Char" Kegarise this week. On one of the mailers, Kegarise wants the voters to believe that a Mike Madigan ally is funding her Republican opponent, Jillian Bernas. The voters know the truth; Jillian ran against the Madigan Machine last election and pledged to remove Madigan from leadership. The Kegarise mailers were so absurd that the township Republican organization sent an email to its members strongly denouncing the mailers.
On another mailer, Kegarise calls herself a political outsider, yet for years she's been a board member for a Republican organization and a board member of Schaumburg School District 54 for the past 24 years. How is she an outsider?
She says she's going to fight for a balanced budget. Really? Her "balanced budgets" at the school board resulted in two decades of higher property taxes. Kegarise is part of the problem. She's just more of same.
I am tired of the negative political mail. Real leaders run on ideas, not on fake news. If a candidate can't even tell you the truth about herself, how can you trust her to give you the truth about her opponent.
