We don't need government 'help'
Charging a carbon tax on less efficient fossil anything just allows those who can afford them to benefit from those who can't afford them.
Remember, a tax is something that will not go away. Today's most fuel-efficient vehicle is not taxed. When the next years' latest, more efficient vehicles come out, do we tax last year's vehicle?
The real issue is why do more-efficient items cost more to buy? So, if I can't afford it, I buy what I can and get punished for being poor. Why?
When I went to buy a new furnace and A/C for my home last year, I paid $4,000 more for the most efficient unit. Why? I don't need any politicians to tell me what kind of lawn mower or car I can buy. We have to take our own control. We can make the difference with out government.
