Cartoon spread lies about debt

After seeing the cartoon on the Dec. 29 Daily Herald Opinion page, I thought to myself, "Give me a break. The Daily Herald has gone too far."

It now appears that your business is to spread downright lies about our economy and our present U.S. government's intentions to correct it. You are just plain biased.

Everyone knows that Obama doubled our debt from $10 trillion to $20 trillion.

Everyone knows the latest tax bill will hurt the rich more much more than the middle and lower class because of the $10,000 limit on deductions.

And everyone knows the reason money is taken out of Medicare and Social Security is to support Medicaid recipients so they can pay their Obamacare premiums.

If everyone can see this, why can't you?

Or are you taking advantage of the ignorance and/or lack of interest of the American people?

Get down to earth and stop spreading lies.
