Elk Grove tree lighting and concert was a blast, as usual

I would like to thank Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig B. Johnson, the Elk Grove Village trustees and the park district for the extremely fun tree lighting extravaganza on Friday, Nov. 24th.

From the concert featuring Gary Lewis and The Playboys, to the beautiful Christmas tree being lit, the winter fireworks display, the free hot chocolate and cookies and the arrival of Santa Claus, a good time was had by everyone who came. The crowd was huge and continued to grow as the evening went on.

My neighbors and I have made this an annual event and part of our Thanksgiving holiday. My children are grown and out of the house but my wife and I attend every year and have a blast.

This event is another reason why I say Elk Grove Village is the best place to live in Illinois.
