Veterans' hearts warmed on a cold day
I would like to thank the anonymous diner who paid the lunch tab for me and my fellow veterans at Colonial Cafe on Veterans Day.
We were enjoying lunch after participating in the ceremony at nearby Veterans Park when our waitress informed us of the generosity extended to us. We tried to find out who it was, to show our thanks, but the customer had already left.
This warmed our hearts on a cold day and demonstrates the fact that people like this make Naperville such a terrific place to live. Thank you from all of us.
