Poor quality road work

I'd like to commend Plote and the state of Illinois on a job well botched.

The roadway from east of Harper College east to Golf Road has recently been completely resurfaced. The surface was ground off and two layers of asphalt were applied.

Now that it has been completed, the road is a washboard. The entire distance from the western point to where I turn off at Meadowbrook Industrial Drive in Rolling Meadows will cause a driver to question his vehicle's roadworthiness. I'll bet it can cause fillings to loosen and auto suspensions to fail. Driving during the rain on Oct. 24, I could see the ripples all along the way.

Just an example of our tax dollars being readily wasted on poor workmanship. Illinois should withhold payment, and Plote should be ashamed of such a lack of craftsmanship.
