Providing hurricane aid

This is in response to Jeff Issel's letter Friday, Sept. 8, asking where is the hurricane help being offered by our allies, including Israel. For his information, tiny Israel has sent help. The Israeli Embassy in Washington has shipped several tons of supplies to Houston and the Israeli government has pledged $1 million in emergency funds. In addition, three Israeli organizations, IsraAid, iAID and United Hatzalah, have sent relief workers to the city. Israel is one of the first countries to send help in natural disasters around the world such as earthquakes and floods, sending rescue workers and field hospitals.

So they will be most likely offering more help for Hurricane Irma and today's earthquake in Mexico.
