Trump's behavior can't be the new normal

The majority of Americans who voted in 2016 thought Donald Trump was less qualified to be president than Hillary Clinton. Many thought he was also incompetent.

Now, we are finding out he is worse than we could have imagined. Too late, we are finding out that Donald Trump is truly abnormal. His reactions to the Russia investigations, to North Korea and Venezuela, and now to the violence in Virginia are just not normal reactions by any president, by any measure.

He does not think before he speaks, he cannot put words together in a cogent sentence, and his rhetoric is either incoherent or inflammatory. One gets the impression he is not addressing Americans when he speaks, but having a conversation with the voices in his head.

Donald Trump has become more than just an embarrassment to the United States. He is now a dangerous threat to our national security and our domestic tranquillity. We cannot allow his behavior to become the new normal.
