Wheaton provides food for needy

St. Matthew United Church of Christ, the People's Resource Center and the Interfaith Food Pantry of Carol Stream want to thank the community for helping their neighbors in need at the Wheaton 4th of July parade with donations of cash and food.

More than $2,000 was raised and we were able to fill a truck with food and personal care products for the food pantries. We appreciate the generosity of The Home Depot in Carol Stream for providing a truck and shopping carts for our "drill team" and to Alex Brands for providing pinwheels for decorating the shopping carts. Thank you, Wheaton, for caring for your neighbors.
