A story that restores faith

The wonderful story of the brave rescue by ordinary citizens of swimmers caught in the undertow on a Florida beach lifted my heart. That is why I love America so much.

The ordinary people rise in times of trouble, and this is so comforting when we are surrounded by the horror of our new president. The lies, cheating and misguided behavior of our current leader leave me in despair and then something wonderful happens, enacted by our citizens, and I begin to hope we will not be destroyed, as our spirit and standards will protect us from depression and capitulation.
