A gun-rights irony?

Shots fired at innocent individuals is an awful thing, whether the individuals are politicians or average citizens of our country, and my wish for a speedy and total recovery goes out to those who suffered injury during the Virginia shooting. Connie Schultz reported in the Daily Herald Friday that a congressional hearing had been scheduled to debate a bill that "would make it easier to purchase silencers, transport guns across state lines and ease restrictions on armor-piercing bullets." I want to know how many of the politicians on the ball field Wednesday have accepted campaign contributions from the National Rifle Association, an organization that promotes more guns for more individuals.
