Disturbing facts about state government
While the state spirals closer to bankruptcy the following facts are disturbing to any normal person:
The full House has worked less than six hours this month.
For a part-time job, the average lawmaker salary with bonuses is $82,000 and with the bankrupt pen-sion and full benefits they cost taxpayers $123,000 a year.
Appropriations Committee for General Services has held two meetings in the last 20 days.
Illinois still has 146,000 fewer people working compared with before the Great Recession.
These elected legislators have failed us for over 20 years. We need a change of leadership. Madigan and his ilk need to go.
