Put money into infrastructure, not wall
I've wondered where the so-called president got his idea for "a wall," i.e., the one he would build but Mexico would pay for. For, the only walls I had ever heard of were the "China Wall" and the infamous "East Berlin Wall" - you know, the one the Russians built in Germany. But that one was to keep its people IN, while the immigration wall would be built to keep people OUT.
Of course, I don't remember America planning or even talking about or even thinking about a wall to keep people from sneaking in, but then, America has never been so friendly with a country that has so consistently acted so contrary to democratic ideals or goals or desires.
So, maybe he got the idea from his new friend Vladimir. But while Vladimir doesn't have to ask the people for money to build his wall, our man does. My guess is the American people would rather see a few billion dollars put into rebuilding our national infrastructure - you know, the interstate highways, the airports and bridges and dams and schools and railroads - that were promised so heartily - and so often - and with such passion - than into a lunatic, screwball Mexican-border wall. Oh, yes, the one Mexico was going to pay for.
