Opera House Steak & Seafood hire director of sales

Opera House Steak & Seafood in Plainfield appointed Nina Petkov as the director of sales.

Opera House is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant located in historic landmark 1800s Opera House in Downtown Plainfield. Open for nearly two years, the venue boasts a roaring 20s ambience complete with flapper and gangster attire. The establishment serves prime steaks and seafood along with fine wines and prohibition cocktails.

Petkov will also oversee the events at HopScotch & Vine, a casual dining venue and Blu, an upscale martini bar all located in Downtown Plainfield. All venues have private dining space perfect for corporate and social events.

Prior to joining the Opera House team, Petkov was an event manager at Pinstripes Oakbrook and Main Event. During her time at Main Event Entertainment, she opened multiple locations throughout the U.S. as their corporate sales trainer.

With over a decade of experience in the hospitality and events industry, Nina said she was eager for the opportunity to take the position as director of sales for the Vaughn's, owners of the three different concepts. A native to the southwest suburbs, Petkov said, "It's really exciting to take on a new work venture, but this time closer to home for myself, remembering great memories with friends and family growing up in the area. With Hopscotch & Vine, Blu and The Opera House, Mike and Cassie Vaughn encapsulate a sense of home with their unique family-owned businesses, and I really wanted to be a part of just that." Nina looks forward to bringing that same feeling to those wanting to celebrate memorable events with their families' at one of the venues in the heart of downtown Plainfield.

We are pleased to welcome Nina to our leadership team," said Cassie Vaughn, owner of the three venues. "Nina has an impressive background in the planning, booking and execution of private events and banquets. We look forward to her growing our on-site events along with off-site catering."
