Two industrial properties sold
Elmhurst-based Darwin Realty said Thursday that it has sold two industrial properties in DuPage County.
Darwin Realty announced a sale and lease-back transaction at 502 Vista Ave. in Addison.
Darwin's principal, Noel S. Liston, and associate, Nick Krejci, were the sole brokers in the transaction. AIM Inc., the seller, will lease the facility back for the next several years. The building is 37,560 square feet and features 4,300 square feet of office and heavy power. The property was purchased by Westwind Industrial, a general contractor specializing in medical, industrial and commercial property reutilization, for $2 million.
In Glendale Heights, Liston and Krejci represented the seller, Comtelco Industries, in the sale of their 13,500 square foot facility at 501 Mitchell Road. The purchaser, IVM Chemicals Inc., was represented by G. Pat Ryan with Combined Commercial Realty.
IVM Chemicals Inc. is a European-based distributor of industrial chemicals and pesticides and will occupy the building upon renovation which is being completed by Peak Construction. The building was purchased for just under $1 million.
