27-year-old Vernon Hills toy store moves to new location

Snickelfritz Toys, which has operated in Hawthorn Mall since 1991, recently moved to a new location near Dick's Sporting Goods on Milwaukee Avenue.

The locally owned and operated toy store will have an opening celebration at its new Vernon Hills location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 19.

Snickelfritz is now on the corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Route 60. The new location is larger, brighter and much easier to get to, the owners said.

The business is throwing a party that will include goody bags for the first 100 people, free crafts, raffle prizes, discounts, games to play, a fire engine, the Cat in the Hat plus much more. The calendar of events for the day will be listed on the Snickelfritz Toys Facebook page.

Snickelfritz has been helping people find the perfect toy for children of all ages for the last 27 years. Boasting customer service, the business offers free wrapping, game demos every day, birthday bins, a frequent buyers program and curbside delivery.
