EEI's vice president Talsma to retire

Tom Talsma, vice president/business development for Engineering Enterprises, Inc. in Batavia for the past 13 years, is set to retire on April 30.

Talsma, a Geneva resident, brought more than 30 years of experience in the public works field from the city of Geneva when he joined EEI in 2005. He is an active member of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and has served as president of its Chicago Metro Chapter. He was also a recipient of the APWA Top Ten Public Works Leader of the Year Award, one of the highest honors available in the public works profession.

Over the years he has served on numerous Technical Advisory Committees bringing his multifaceted experience to the table.

"Tom has been a dedicated partner, both to our employees and our clients throughout his tenure with us," said EEI President Peter G. Wallers, P.E, CFM. "He was instrumental in developing and implementing EEI's Business Development Strategy and for that we are grateful. He will be missed!"

A private celebration with family and friends has been scheduled.
