Naperville lawyer earns lifetime achievement award

Shawn Collins, founder and partner of The Collins Law Firm in Naperville, has been selected for a Lifetime Achievement Award by America's Top 100 Attorneys.

Selection for the honor is by invitation only and is reserved for the nation's most exceptional attorneys, whose accomplishments and impact on the legal profession merit elite recognition.

Only 100 attorneys in each state receive the honor. Selection to America's Top 100 Attorneys is an achievement award earned with a lifetime of hard work, observance of ethical standards, and community enriching accomplishments. Candidates for lifetime membership are carefully screened on a broad array of criteria, including their professional experience, legal achievements, significant case results, peer reputation, and community impact. With these extremely high standards for selection for a Lifetime Achievement Award, less than one-half percent (0.5 percent) of active attorneys in the United States receive this recognition.

"It's a great honor to join the country's most accomplished lawyers. I am grateful to my wife and family, and everyone in my law firm, for their love and support and dedication, and to my clients, whose causes have proved such profoundly important undertakings, and made me a better person." said Collins.

During his 30 year legal career, Collins has had extensive experience handling "high stakes" litigation in environmental contamination, toxic tort, personal injury, and commercial cases. As a partner at The Collins Law Firm, he has recovered more than $100 million in settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients, and has secured clean water and contamination-free homes for thousands of families
