DuPage Medical Group opens office in Itasca

DuPage Medical Group, a large independent, multi-specialty physician group in the Chicago area, is now offering family medicine and internal medicine services at a new location in Itasca at 1107 Prospect Ave., Suite 100.

Two specialists, Dr. Shruti Gupta and Dr. Iffat S. Ahmed, join DMG's growing physician family.

Dr. Gupta received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Virtua Family Medicine in New Jersey. Her medical interests include preventative medicine for men, women and children, as well as chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, acne and minor procedures. She cares for both adults and children and speaks additional languages including Hindi and Spanish. Gupta previously received the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Satisfaction. She is affiliated with Amita Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.

Dr. Ahmed received her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. Her medical interests include hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, obesity, anxiety and depression. She cares for adult patients and speaks additional languages including Hindi and Urdu. Dr. Ahmed is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Edward Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

"The addition of these skilled providers allows us to begin serving the Itasca community by introducing newly offered specialties and increasing access to high-quality care," said DMG Chief Operating Officer South Region David Spaccarelli. "We look forward to creating new doctor-patient relationships as we expand in the northwest suburbs."
