College sports fan, broker creates Big Ten map

Jeffrey Petrovski, who is passionate about college sports, has designed a poster map depicting all of the universities in the Big Ten Conference.

Petrovski, an Oak Brook-based independent commercial real estate broker developed the map after years of envisioning the concept. The Map features the logo, mascot, school colors, fight song, rivals and other highlights of all fourteen universities in a colorful U.S. Map format and also includes a signature iconic photo from each campus. It is available across B1G campus bookstores as well as online at BigTenMap.com.

For the University of Illinois, a photo of the famous Alma Mater sculpture is pictured. Generations of U of I students, alums, and families have taken their photo in front of this iconic statue. It was unveiled in 1929 by U of I artist Lorado Taft.

The map features a photo of a similar treasured structure or monument on the campus for each university.

"I am a commercial real estate professional who has followed my passion for college sports by designing this beautiful map … in today's vernacular, I believe it is called a side-hustle," Petrovski said. "It took me years to secure the rights from each university. The map represents all the great history, traditions, spirit, rivalries, and excellence that make the Big Ten the premier collegiate conference in the U.S.," he said.

"I hope the Map finds a home in man caves, offices, sport dens, and dorms all over Big Ten Country."

Petrovski, a graduate of Michigan State University, is managing broker at Commercial Property Specialists in Oak Brook.

The B1G Map is available at many campus retailers throughout the Big Ten Conference and are listed on his website.
