Salata to raise funds for schools in October

"Next Generation Salad Bar" concept Salata will launch its fundraising initiative "Salata Salutes" on Oct 2.

The restaurants in Schaumburg and Wheeling in October will raise money for Schaumburg District 54 Education Foundation and Wheeling District 21 Whenever a customer "salutes" one of the school districts at checkout, 15 percent of their bill will go into the school fund. At the end of the month, a check will be presented to both school districts in support of local programming.

"We're piloting this program locally, in the hopes it expands to my future locations," said Dan Campbell, owner of Salata Schaumburg and Wheeling. "A huge part of business is giving back, and where better to start then within our schools?"

The restaurants are located at Copley Center, 140 E. Golf Road, Schaumburg and Lexington Commons, 1083 E. Lake-Cook Road, Wheeling,

Campbell is seeking local nonprofit organizations to support. Interested parties can contact info@ripplepublicrelations.com to be considered.
