Principle completes new office/warehouse facility

CHANNAHON - Principle Construction Corp. has completed the site infrastructure and a new 750,000 square foot office/warehouse facility on a 34-acre site in Channahon.

The building, on the corner of Bluff Road and Interstate 55, is the first building in the new Channahon Corporate Center. IDI Gazeley is the developer of the business park.

Rosemont-based Principle was responsible for constructing all elements of the infrastructure, including pond, pump house, utility extension and installing a lift station for the entire park. Along with the site Principle constructed the 750,000 square foot Building A features 86 dock doors (expandable to 170), automobile parking for 440 vehicles, 192 spaces for trailer parking, ESFR sprinkler system, 185' all concrete truck court, and a 6" Ductilcrete floor system. Principle will continue on to build out infrastructure for the remaining 72 acres of the park.

Principle's Jim Brucato was the principal on the project, Darrin Dehmlow served as Principle's project manager and Doug Brucato served as Principle's Superintendent. Sparks Architects, Inc. designed the site. Jacob & Hefner was the Civil Engineer. IDI Gazeley's representative was Vice President of Development Jeffrey C. Smith.
