DUI arrest leads to gun charge in Lisle

A DUI arrest by Lisle police officers early Thursday morning led to the discovery of illegal weapons at the suspect's apartment, police said.

In a news release, police said Kevin D. Williams, 31, failed to stop at a stop sign and was pulled over about 1:30 a.m. Thursday near Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard. After Williams was placed under arrest for DUI, additional information led to the approval of a search warrant for Williams' apartment on the 4000 block of Blackhawk Lane, police said.

Officers discovered two guns at the apartment, police said. Williams has been charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, possession of a firearm and ammunition without Firearm Owners Identification, illegal transport of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign.
