Suburban Chicago post office to be named for fallen soldier

WARRENVILLE, Ill. (AP) - President Donald Trump has signed a resolution naming a suburban Chicago post office for a fallen soldier.

The post office in Warrenville in DuPage County will be known as the Corporal Jeffery Allen Williams Post Office Building. The White House says Trump signed House Resolution 4407 on Friday.

Williams graduated from Wheaton-Warrenville High School in 2003. He joined the Army but was killed in 2005 after six months in Iraq. His mother, Sandra Smith, says he had hoped to become a cardiologist.

Smith had pressed members of Congress to honor her son by naming the post office for him. She says he spent much time there mailing her bills when she was ill.
