Grains higher, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Sept. delivery rose 11.4 cents at $5.4360 a bushel; Sept. corn was up 3.8 cents at $3.6600 a bushel; Sept. oats gained 1.4 cents at $2.544 a bushel while Sep. soybeans rose 18.2 cents at 8.8060 a bushel.

Beef lower and pork higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Aug. live cattle was off .75 cent at $1.0825 a pound; Aug. feeder cattle fell .75 cent at $1.4907 a pound; Oct. lean hogs rose 2.2 cents at .5452 a pound.
