Florida's Jefferson expected back for camp following surgery

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Florida defensive end CeCe Jefferson had shoulder surgery earlier this week, but the senior is expected to return in time for preseason practice in August.

Jefferson injured his shoulder in Saturday's spring game.

The 6-foot-1, 242-pound Jefferson led the Gators with 13ˆ½ tackles for loss and 4ˆ½ sacks last year.

Jefferson is expected to flourish in Florida's 3-4 scheme under new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.

Jefferson is one of a number of talented pass-rushers on Florida's roster. The list includes Antonneous Clayton, Jachai Polite and Jabari Zuniga.
