NFL to hold career development symposium in Orlando

NEW YORK (AP) - The NFL will hold a career development symposium next week in Orlando, Florida.

The symposium will be Thursday-Saturday, right before the league's annual meeting. Aspiring head coach, coordinator and general manager candidates will learn about football administration, operations, coaching and scouting through presentations, panel discussions, breakout sessions and networking opportunities with club and league executives.

Among the speakers are coach Doug Pederson of the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter, Los Angeles Chargers coach Anthony Lynn and Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott.

Arizona Cardinals president Michael Bidwill and Atlanta Falcons president Rich McKay are also among the 64 coaches and front-office executives from across the league that will take part.

The symposium was held from 1998-2008 and returned in 2013. Last year's event focused on engaging aspiring female executives.
