West Virginia women beat Oklahoma St. in Big 12 tourney

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Naomi Davenport had 21 points and nine rebounds on Saturday night and Katrina Pardee scored 15 with eight boards and four steals to help West Virginia beat Oklahoma State 69-60 in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.

No. 6 seed West Virginia (21-10) with play second-seeded and No. 7 Texas in the semifinals Sunday. The Longhorns won both regular-season matchups by an average of 19.5 points.

Pardee and Davenport scored five points apiece during a 15-4 opening run and the Mountaineers never trailed. Davenport made two free throws to make it 21-11 at the end of the first quarter and her jumper gave West Virginia a 15-point lead midway through the second before going into the break with a 42-30 advantage. Braxtin Miller and Loryn Goodwin hit back-to-back 3-pointers to pull No. 3 seed Oklahoma State within seven with four minutes left in the third quarter, but the Cowgirls would get no closer.

West Virginia snapped a three-game skid against the Cowgirls, including a 79-69 home loss on Feb. 24.
