To what extent is this relationship effective now and to whatever extent it may not be effective, what would you do to improve it?The key is not being radical to the far left or right. My political philosophy is centrist and I can better work with all leg. leaders. It is very poor now and I would improve it by being more centrist.On budgeting, what should be done to ensure that the state does not again go through a period of time without a budget in place? What will you do as governor to ensure that the spending priorities you espouse during your campaign are reflected in the budget?Being centrist would help. Also,I do not have any priorities that are greater than any others,they are all roughly equal. Balancing the budget will be much easier for me than any of the other candidates-Dem or RepHow important do you consider the issues of term limits and legislative redistricting? Would you act to promote or oppose either of these initiatives?I have supported term limits for many years: 10 years for State Rep and 12 for Sen. The same for Leg. leaders. The voter should pick his leader rather than the other way around.To what extent are you happy or unhappy with the evidence-based model for education funding now in place in Illinois? How would you define Ãâ#128;™adequateÃâ#128;œ state funding for Illinois schools and what will you do to promote that?I believe every child should receive the exact same amount regardless of which district he comes from. The taxpayer should determine how much he wants to support public education via his elected leaders and then that amount should be divided. With evidence-based model the schools dictate to the taxpayer- I oppose that.What will you do to fix the public employee pension systems?Pensions must be renegotiated downward either by new Constit. Amendment or by dissolving the state and dividing it into smaller states.
