On Monday, Jan. 22, AP Sports began running its series of video profiles called "The Olympians." Each video tells the unique story of an athlete who will be competing at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. From superstar skiers Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn to cross-country skier Samir Azzimani, who trained for his event in the Moroccan desert, "The Olympians" explores the lengths these athletes have gone to achieve - and maintain - the rarefied status: Olympic athlete.
