East Tennessee State schedules 2022 game at North Carolina

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - East Tennessee State will face North Carolina in football during the 2022 season.
ETSU officials announced Thursday that the Buccaneers will play at North Carolina on Nov. 19, 2022. ETSU said it will receive $450,000 for making the trip to Chapel Hill.
This marks the fifth Football Bowl Subdivision opponent on ETSU's upcoming schedules. ETSU's 2018 schedule includes a Sept. 8 game at Tennessee. ETSU also has scheduled games at Vanderbilt in 2019 and 2021, at Georgia in 2020 and at Appalachian State in 2019 and 2024.
ETSU started playing football again in 2015 after shutting down the program for financial reasons in 2003.
