Mazyck scores 20, USC women drop Utah 58-47

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Aliyah Mazyck hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead USC to a 58-47 win over Utah on Sunday.

Sadie Edwards had 12 of her 16 points in the first half and Kristen Simon added 14 points for the Trojans (13-4, 3-3 Pac-12), who held the Utes (12-5, 3-3) to their lowest point total of the season.

Megan Huff led Utah with 10 points.

Mazyck scored four points and Edwards had five in a 9-2 run to end the first half that gave USC a 30-23 lead. It wasn't until Mazyck's 3-pointer capped a 7-0 run early in the fourth quarter that the Trojans got the lead to double figures at 50-39. Utah answered with an 8-2 run but the sporadic offense wasn't enough to mount a serious challenge.

Utah finished 3 of 17 behind the arc and had 21 turnovers. USC was 6 of 15 on 3s and had just 10 turnovers.
