Grains lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery was off 2.20 cents at $4.2440 a bushel; March corn fell 1.60 cents 3.5060 a bushel; March oats lost 1.40 cents at 2.4120 a bushel while January soybeans declined 4.40 cents at $9.4460 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was up 2.82 cents at $1.2545 a pound; January feeder cattle rose .50 cent at $1.4535 a pound; February lean hogs was up .60 cent at $.7193 a pound.
