South Carolina G Cuevas-Moore out for season

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - No. 4 South Carolina has ruled out senior guard Bianca Cuevas-Moore for the season due to a ligament injury to her left knee.

The school made the announcement before Sunday's game against Savannah State. Cuevas-Moore had not appeared in a game this season. She recently had a setback in her recovery from a knee injury.

Cuevas-Moore had been a spark off the bench her first three seasons, playing in 108 of 109 games. She was expected to play a bigger role this season after South Carolina lost three starters off last year's national champions.

Coach Dawn Staley says a medical redshirt for Cuevas-Moore is a possibility.
