ASU student is accused in robbery at a dormitory on campus

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an out-of-state Arizona State University student has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a dormitory last weekend.

School officials say 19-year-old Orlando Higginbotton turned himself in to campus police on Tuesday.

He's facing charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful imprisonment and burglary.

Bond was set at $25,000 at Higginbotton's initial court appearance Wednesday. He doesn't have a lawyer yet.

ASU police say four people assaulted a male student with a souvenir baseball bat and soft air gun during an armed robbery at the dorm Sunday.

They say the victim and Higginbotton live on the same floor of the dorm and know each other.

Three unidentified men still are being sought in connection with the attack.

Court documents list Higginbotton as a resident of Kankakee, Illinois.
