Dortmund suspends Aubameyang for 'disciplinary reasons'

DORTMUND, Germany (AP) - Borussia Dortmund has suspended its top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for what the club says are "disciplinary reasons."

Dortmund says on Twitter that Aubameyang, who has 10 goals in 11 Bundesliga games this season, has been left out of the side to face Stuttgart away on Friday.

The club does not give an indication of what led to the sanction for the Gabon forward.

Aubameyang was suspended by the club before, last November, when he missed the 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League for a trip to Milan against then-coach Thomas Tuchel's wishes.

Aubameyang is going through a bad patch at Dortmund, having failed to score in any of his last five games.

Meanwhile, the club has slumped to three defeats in four league games without a win.
